FROM THE OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN OBIDIENTS HARMONIZATION FORUM(OHF)*
The Maigari-led Obidien Harmonization Forum(OHF)hereby*unequivocally dissociates itself from the unconstitutional and illegitimate states directorate group led by Mr.
Marcel Ngogbehei.This group,which was unlawfully inaugurated on December 6, 2024,operates without the knowledge, approval,or authority of the Obidient Harmonization Forum.
These actions constitute a blatant affront to the integrity of our principal,His Excellency Mr.Peter Gregory Obi.
We strongly condemn Mr.Marcel Ngogbehei’s unscrupulous activities, including the alleged dubious attempts to exploit this group for personal financial gain.Such unethical and self-serving behaviour is not only unconstitutional but also unacceptable and contrary to the principles of transparency and accountability we uphold.
The Directorate of Mobilization and Integration is not even recognised by the Labour Party Constitution in Article 22(2).
This directorate was created as a reaction to Mr.Peter Obi’s principled opposition to incorporating the Obidient Movement as an arm of the Labour Party. Following its establishment,the directorate swiftly orchestrated the creation of the Obidient Harmonization Committee(OHC),with its leader being pressured to endorse Mr.Julius Abure.
The recent inauguration of state directorates was a reactionary creation by Mr.Ngogbehei after he lost control of the former Obidient Harmonization Committee (OHC),now restructured as the OHF.When his attempts to establish a counter OHC leadership failed,he devised this state directorate as an illegitimate alternative platform to raise a structure to undermine the possible position of genuine Obidients. Furthermore,Mr.Ngogbehei’s open allegiance to Mr.Julius Abure,the Former National Chairman of the Labour Party, who has consistently sought to subvert Peter Obi’s future candidacy,highlights the ulterior motives behind this group’s formation.
It is evident that Mr.Ngogbehei is attempting to build a structure across the country to either bolster Mr. Abure’s factional leadership or advance his own personal agenda.Could this be a covert strategy to eventually overthrow Mr.Abure himself?These manipulative tactics are not only divisive but also undermine the unity and progress of the Obidient Movement.
We urge all members of the OHF and genuine Obidients to distance themselves from this illegal group and its deceptive activities.
The public must not be misled by Mr. Ngogbehei and his group’s false pretenses of representing the Obidient Movement in any way or form.
Their actions are not in alignment with the values of Obidient movement,good governance,and integrity championed by His Excellency Mr.Peter Gregory Obi.
The fallout between the OHF National Chairman,Comr.Joseph Maigari,and Mr. Ngogbehei stems from the latter’s insistence on endorsing and supporting Mr.Abure,which the OHC Chairman rightly rejected.This principled stance further underscores the OHF’s commitment to upholding democratic values and rejecting any agenda that seeks to compromise the integrity of our movement.
We remain resolute in our dedication to promoting the ideals of transparency, accountability,and democratic governance in the Obidient Movement under the leadership of Dr.Tanko Yunusa and His Excellency Mr.Peter obi.
