Suspected kidnappers

Two suspects arrested in connection to the abduction of Folasade Odumosu, wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, have confessed keeping her hidden behind her residence over a week.

The revelation which has left many in shock, highlights the audacity of the criminal elements who concealed their victim within close proximity to her home.

While speaking during their parade, one of the suspects said, “One man gave us the job, I don’t know his name. Four of us plus one other I don’t know were involved, so we are five. We went there with three guns but they were locally-made ones.

“We took her to the bush behind her house; there are many palm trees there. We kept her for like one week and two days. We demanded N40 million and they paid N20 million. We shared the money and I collected N4.25 million and my ‘brothers’ (gang members) also collected that amount. One of us knows the man who gave us the job.”

“We hid her at the back of her house. There are plenty palm trees there. If someone hides there, you cannot see the person,” the other suspect said.

This medium reported that the retired AIG’s wife was kidnapped two weeks ago at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State.

She was later rescued with the effort of security operatives.
