The Pioneer Secretary-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth wing and one time Ag. National President of the group has declared his support for the Change Agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari.

He also supports Buhari’s anti-corruption war.

Hon Ibegbu who is also the leader of Ndigbo for One Nigeria, NFON, a socio-political pressure group and the African Reparation Movement stated this at a Press Conference in Enugu on Saturday, 28th May 2016.

He noted that President Buhari has shown that he is determined to sanitize Nigeria and restore her glory.

Hon Ibegbu noted that Mr President ensured that the 2016 budget was not distorted as in the past.

And his commitment to see that public officers live up to expectation in the service of the father land endeared the President to him.

On insecurity in the country Hon Ibegbu extolled the efforts the President is making to restore normalcy in the North East.

He called on the Niger Delta Avengers to halt hostilities in the area so as not to affect the programmes designed to uplift the region.

Hon Ibegbu extolled the international standing of Nigeria as a result of Mr President’s recent international trips.

He called on all those with one grievance or another to follow due process in pursuing it.

Hon Ibegbu called on Ndigbo to support President Buhari.

He also called on the President to give Ndigbo their due share of federal projects and appointments.

Hon Ibegbu noted that Ndigbo also directly and indirectly contributed to the victory of President Buhari at the 2015 Presidential polls.

In so far as the votes they gave to Ex-President Gooluck Jonathan in the area was far lower than what he got in 2011.

For instance he noted that Ex-President Jonathan got more than one million vote in Abia state in 2011 but only about 300,000 in 2015.

This also happened in other Igbo states thus showing that President Buhari also got Igbo support in 2015.

Hon Ibegbu lambasted the PDP for toying with Ndigbo.

He noted that the PDP was now belatedly doing what it would have done in 2015 by zoning its Presidency to the North

But allowed the incumbent then to bulldoze his way using the power of incumbency.

Hon Ibegbu noted that Ndigbo with the present circumstance are nearer to getting the Presidency in the APC than the highly fragmented PDP.

He also saluted Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha of Imo state for his steadfastness and pan Nigeria stand.

‘Ndigbo are nation builders and would prefer to swim in the ATLANTIC OCEAN than Nworie River’, according to Ibegbu.
