The Meeting equally was optimistic that Justice shall surely be served.
Both teams, therefore, reiterated full support for the Party’s Candidate in the Ondo State November 26, 2016 election, Hon. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN as the flag-bearer.
The party further called on all members’ nationwide, teeming supporters and the general public, and especially Ondo people, to remain calm and continue supporting the Leadership in moving the Party forward.
Elombah.com recalls that the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] had declared Jimoh Ibrahim as the rightful candidate for the Ondo election.
The state PDP sought for an injunction against INEC which was turned down by Justice Okon Abang of the federal High, Abuja.
Consequently, the state was thrown into an uproar as supporters and well-wishers took to the streets to protest INEC’s decision.
Later, the Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko sought an audience with President Muhammadu Buhari over what he described as an assault on the sensibilities of Ondo people.
