(DDM) – Controversial adult film star and OnlyFans creator Lily Phillips has explained why she chose to be baptized again at the age of 24, despite already being baptized as a baby.

Phillips, who went viral in 2024 after a widely publicised stunt involving 101 men in one day, shared a video on Instagram showing her rebaptism, describing the moment as “a day to remember forever.”

Speaking to Newsweek, the adult content creator said her decision was driven by a desire to reconnect with God and rebuild her spiritual life after drifting away from faith.

She explained that the baptism was not about public approval but about strengthening her personal relationship with God and challenging stereotypes about women in the adult entertainment industry.

Phillips said she dislikes how OnlyFans creators are often reduced to “2D sex dolls,” adding that such labels are dehumanising and ignore the complexity of their lives.

According to her, people can disagree with her lifestyle while still allowing space for conversations about faith, growth, and spirituality.

In a separate interview with US Weekly, Phillips revealed she was baptized as a baby but felt compelled to recommit to her faith after a significant personal experience.

She said she had not actively practised religion for some time before deciding to be rebaptized on Sunday, December 28.

Phillips described the rebaptism as a way to “reinstate” her relationship with God and begin speaking to Him again.

She noted that her friends and family were supportive of the decision, adding that her family has always been religious.

Addressing criticism from those who question her Christianity because of her career, Phillips said she understands their concerns and does not claim to be a traditional Christian.

She openly stated that she supports gay marriage and is pro-choice, acknowledging that her views differ from conservative Christian doctrines.

However, she insisted that holding non-traditional values does not disqualify her from being a Christian.

Phillips has not announced any plans to quit the adult film industry but said she hopes to diversify her career in the future.

She expressed interest in television presenting, YouTube content creation, and projects that allow her to showcase more of her personality beyond adult entertainment.

Her rebaptism has since sparked widespread debate online, reigniting conversations around faith, morality, identity, and inclusion in modern Christianity.
