The Edo State governorship race has slipped into murkier grounds as Governor Adams Oshiomhole has upped his game.
Information made available to Elombah.com by Secret Reporters says that Governor Oshiomhole is scheming to kill his Deputy’s, Mr. Pius Odubu’s political career.
To that effect, Adams Oshiomhole has begun impeachment process against the Edo State Deputy Governor.
The report has it that, Odubu is seen as a man of the masses with his odubuism mantra sweeping Edo State already.
Oshiomhole has not been comfortable with that, hence, the reason to stop him at all cost.
Recollect that, the House of Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker were recently impeached by members of the Assembly.
The Governor had perceived that both the impeached Speaker and his Deputy were garnering support for Odubu, against Oshiomhole’s candidate.
His candidate is one of the Obasekis’ contesting for the same APC ticket with Odubu.
The Governor, therefore, decided to instigate their impeachment to weaken the support base of Odubu.
Not done with that, to finally clip Odubu’s wings, and stop him, there are sinister moves to impeach him.
That would, thereby, put a halt to his ambition for the next 10 years if impeached.
Yesterday, violence had erupted in the state capital, Benin City following the impeachment.
A mild drama ensued immediately after the new speaker took her seat as the assembly’s chamber was invaded by some suspected thugs.
The situation made security operatives to immediately take over control of the assembly’s premises, as staff scampered for safety.
Meanwhile, according to report available to Elombah.com, at Kings’ Square in Benin City, rapid shootings raged on.
That was, evidently, fallout of the impeachment of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of EDHA.
City residents blamed the All progressives Congress [APC] for the unusual development.
