The Kebbi State Police Command has confirmed a loud explosion at the General Hospital in Bagudo, Kebbi State, in the early hours of Tuesday, assuring residents that the situation has been brought under control.
In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, the command said no casualties were recorded in the incident.
According to the police, a joint security team comprising personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the military and local vigilante groups swiftly cordoned off the affected area and secured the hospital premises shortly after the explosion.
