A self-acclaimed pastor of a new generation church has been arrested over allegations of abduction and defilement of underage girls.
Men of the Nigerian police made the arrest in Oshodi area of Lagos state.
Channels Television visited Shogunle community, where the Tongues Of Fire Restoration Ministries, the Church Pastor Chukwuemeka Nkwocha oversees.
One of the victims, while in tears, explained to Channels Television’s correspondent that the pastor asked her to sleep with him.
She alleged that the pastor promised to pay her school fees if she did.
Pastor Chukwuemeka Nkwocha, in defence, said that one of the alleged victims was his fiancée to whom he was hoping to get married.
Nevertheless, the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owosheni, has assured the parents of the girls that the suspect would be charged after investigations.
