PCNI Rolls Out 40 ICT Graduates  In Adamawa

It was pomp and pageantry on Thursday in Yola, Adamawa State, as the Presidential Committee on North East Initiative (PCNI), awarded certificates and prizes to 40 ICT graduates.

 

 Alkasim Abdulkadir, Head of Media and Communications of the initiative said shortly after presentation of certificates that the aim of the training was to educate  the participants on how to monitor and evaluate the ongoing rehabilitation programme in the state.

 

 He disclosed that the participants also received training on  information dissemination and about the Federal Government interventions and reconstruction in the North East region.

 “After  the training,  participants are expected to inform Nigerians through the social media platforms on the successes recoded by government in the area of rebuilding and resettlement of IDPs.

 

 “The government is making strong efforts on daily basis, especially towards improving  livelihood of  IDPs and the affected communities,” Abdulkadir  said.

 

 He disclosed that the participants were adequately trained on media ethic, best practices in reporting and use of social media

 

 In his remarks, Alhaji Musa Kallamu, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Strategy, urges the participant to make good use of knowledge  acquired.

Certificates and ICT gadgets were presented to the participants at the end of the workshop.
