The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially commenced the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the 2025 by-elections.

This announcement was made by PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, in a statement released on Thursday, July 3.

According to the party, the process will cover by-elections in 12 Nigerian states at all three legislative levels.

Sales of forms officially started on Thursday, July 3, and will end on Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Submission of completed forms must be done by Friday, July 11, 2025, as approved by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

Karim Lamido I State Constituency

Zamfara

Kaura Namoda South State Constituency

Each of these will see elections to fill vacant legislative seats due to resignations, deaths, or annulled results.

Ologunagba reassured aspirants and members that the party would conduct a free, fair, and transparent nomination process.

He said the National Working Committee has put mechanisms in place to prevent manipulation or favoritism.

“The NWC assures all party leaders, stakeholders, and members of a credible and transparent nomination exercise,” he stated.

The party also urged all interested aspirants to visit Wadata Plaza, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, to collect and return their forms on time.

Political observers say these by-elections will test the PDP’s strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The contests are expected to attract attention, especially in key battleground states like Kaduna, Anambra, Edo, and Ogun.

This development marks the first major internal mobilization by the PDP since the 2023 general elections.

With stakes high and power shifts expected, the by-elections could reshape the party’s influence going forward.
