PDP Governors Visit President Buhari In London Tuesday

Presidency confirmed that governors from Nigeria’s main opposition party, PDP will be visiting President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Tuesday.

The Presidency has confirmed that governors from Nigeria’s main opposition party, PDP will be visiting President Muhammadu Buhari in London today, Tuesday.

The expected visit will feature six governors including those from the PDP.

The President, however, failed to provide more details on the planned trip.

This comes a few days after a similar visit by governors and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The purported visit of the PDP delegation is coming despite criticism from Governors in the opposition over the health of the President.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, had particular urged the President to resign saying he is unfit to rule.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum Rochas Okorocha, who was part of the APC delegation to visit the President over the weekend stated that the President was hale and hearty and will return back to the country within two weeks.

In the same vein, Nasarawa State governor, Tanko Al-Makura, assured Nigerians that the president is in good health and should return back to the country soonest.

Al-Makura, who was part of the delegation that visited the president, stated that Buhari is healthy and aware of the incidents happening in Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been in the United Kingdom for more than 78 days where he has been undergoing medical treatment.

This is the second time the President is going on such visit to the U.K.

There have been divided opinion about the true state of the President’s health as officials have refused to reveal what ailment he is undergoing treatment for.
