PDP Wins Tafawa Balewa Assembly Seat In Bauchi State

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Tafawa Balewa constituency seat in the Bauchi State House of Assembly election held on March 9.

According to results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] after the resumption of collation on Wednesday, PDP won with 29,933 votes.

The runners-up, the candidate of All Progressives Congress [APC] scored a total of 25,210 votes.

The results for the governorship election is yet to be released as the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ordered INEC against doing so.

The court gave the order following a suit filed by Governor Mohammed Abubakar and his party, APC.

ElombahNews has reported, however, that INEC has vowed to challenge the court order and vacate it to enable it conclude the election.

Based on the results released so far, PDP is winning with a margin of 14,000 votes.
