Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Peller has sparked conversations online after claiming that he mistakenly transferred ₦900,000 to a woman he had engaged to run errands instead of the intended ₦90,000.

In a statement circulating on social media, the content creator said the woman had become unreachable following the transfer, raising concerns about whether he would recover the excess money.

“I mistakenly sent a random girl ₦900k instead of ₦90k for helping me run errands, and since then, she’s nowhere to be found,” he reportedly said.

Peller also spoke about his recent spending habits, claiming that he had spent ₦15 million between Wednesday and the time of his statement without being able to identify any reasonable or worthwhile use for the money.

“From Wednesday till now, I’ve spent ₦15M, and I can’t point to one reasonable thing I’ve done with the money,” he added.

The alleged mistaken transfer has drawn attention to the risks associated with sending large sums of money electronically without carefully verifying the recipient and transaction details.

If the transfer occurred as described, the difference between the intended payment of ₦90,000 and the reported ₦900,000 transfer would amount to ₦810,000.

However, the circumstances surrounding the transaction, the identity of the recipient and whether any formal steps have been taken to recover the excess funds have not been independently confirmed.

Peller, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, is known for his livestreams and viral social media moments, which frequently generate discussions among Nigerian entertainment fans.

His comments about spending ₦15 million in just a few days have also drawn attention to the financial decisions of the young entertainer, although further details about the expenditure were not provided in the statement.

The incident has renewed conversations about financial accountability, the importance of checking bank details before authorising transfers and the steps available to customers who mistakenly send money to another person.

For now, it remains unclear whether the woman will respond to the alleged transfer or whether the money will be recovered.
