Nigerian content creator Peller has appealed to Nigerians to stop attacking controversial social media personality VeryDarkMan, amid growing backlash against him over his involvement in the ongoing dispute surrounding Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye and Jude Okoye.
In a video circulating online, Peller observed that public sentiment appears to have shifted against VeryDarkMan, claiming that many Nigerians who previously supported the activist have now turned against him. He urged people to give him a break, arguing that the level of criticism directed at him had become excessive.
Peller also specifically appealed to VeryDarkMan to stay away from the ongoing Psquare controversy. According to him, the activist should desist from further discussing the Okoye family matter, particularly as the situation has continued to generate intense reactions and divisions online.
“See how Nigeria switched to VeryDarkMan,” Peller reportedly said while making his appeal. He further suggested that VeryDarkMan no longer enjoys the same level of public support he once had, telling Nigerians to leave him alone.
The intervention came as Peller was also seen introducing his Ghanaian friend to Greg and Charles, with the apparent intention of getting people around VeryDarkMan to help or support him amid the mounting pressure.
Peller’s comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some users applauding him for showing concern for VeryDarkMan despite the controversy surrounding the activist. Others, however, believe that VeryDarkMan has brought much of the criticism upon himself through his continued involvement in highly contentious celebrity disputes.
The situation comes at a time when VeryDarkMan has released several claims and alleged pieces of evidence relating to the long-running Psquare saga, repeatedly challenging statements made by Peter Okoye and defending his own position on the matter. His interventions have attracted both strong support and fierce criticism from Nigerians.
With the controversy continuing to unfold, Peller’s plea has added another unexpected voice to the conversation, as the focus increasingly shifts from the Okoye family dispute to the intense public reaction surrounding VeryDarkMan himself.
