Nigerian streamer and content creator Peller has shaved his head in solidarity with his newlywed wife, Jarvis, after she faced intense criticism and online mockery over her appearance.
Jarvis, whose real name is Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, recently sparked reactions on social media after appearing with a bald hairstyle following her white wedding to Peller in Lagos.
While some social media users criticised the look, others defended the content creator and urged people to respect her personal choice.
Amid the backlash, Peller decided to show his support in a rather unusual way — by getting the same hairstyle.
In a video shared online, Peller was seen at a barbershop explaining that he wanted to shave his hair to surprise his wife.
“I want to barb skodo to surprise my wife. Because she barb skodo, everybody is abusing her and talking a lot about her,” he said.
The streamer subsequently completed the haircut and unveiled his new look to Jarvis.
Jarvis appeared delighted by the gesture, with the moment quickly attracting attention from their followers.
Peller’s action was widely interpreted as a public show of solidarity with his wife at a time when she was facing criticism over her appearance.
The gesture has also sparked conversations about relationships, public scrutiny and the importance of standing by a partner when they become the target of online criticism.
For Peller, the message appeared simple: if people were going to mock his wife’s hairstyle, he was willing to embrace the same look himself.
The couple’s relationship has continued to attract significant attention online, particularly following their recent wedding and their highly publicised life as content creators.
Peller’s latest gesture has now added another memorable moment to their growing story, with fans debating whether the move was romantic, humorous or both.
