Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, on Thursday, attended the event where Archbishop Daniel Okoh was officially unveiled as the new President of the Christian Association of Nigeria.
Okoh, the General Superintendent of Christ Holy Church International, Onitsha, emerged as the new spiritual leader of CAN, after receiving a 100 per cent vote of all 259 delegates who participated in its 12th General Assembly.
The new CAN president is expected to serve a single five-year term.
The former Anambra State governor while sharing photos from the event said, “A while ago, I spoke at the CAN leadership transition event. I asked Nigerians to continue praying for God to give Nigeria a seamless leadership transition. – PO.”
