Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu to address Northern elders today

The presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu, and that of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, will on Monday appear before the Joint Arewa Committee interactive session with top presidential candidates.

The spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, made the disclosure on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday night.

The interactive session was organised by several northern groups, including the Arewa Consultative Forum, Arewa House Centre for Historical Research, Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, Northern Elders Forum and Arewa Research and Development Project.

The candidates invited for the dialogue are Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress, APC; Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP; Peter Obi of Labour Party, LP; Kola Abiola of People’s Redemption Party, PRP and; Adewole Adebayo of Social Democratic Party, SDP.

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, had earlier addressed the joint committee on Saturday.

Mr Baba-Ahmed’s tweet reads, “Tomorrow, Monday, 17-10-22, Insha Allah, the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will appear at the engagements by the Arewa Joint Committee at 12pm. LP’s candidate, Peter Obi, will appear at 3pm. Other candidates are expected to appear in the next few weeks.”
