Mr. Peter Obi has since returned to Nigeria after attending the National Democratic Convention in the USA
While he was away, some people posted something suggesting he had issues with the USA Government. No! Nothing like that happened. How can a person have issues with his host?
Obi will soon return to the USA, thenceforth to Australia and Japan where he has speaking engagements. As I will be travelling with him, I will serve the news to you in smoking sauce.
I have come to notice whatever one does when one is in position of authority are noted by countries of the world on the basis of which they associate with one in future. Today Obi is invited to occasions because of his exceptional performance in public office, especially his ability to leave a healthy State when other Governors were leaving hefty debts; his exploits in education and health; his methodical industrialization of the State; his exceptional relationship with development partners, among others.
Some people are asking how he was invited to the Democratic Convention. I will not divulge that further because part of the letter I quoted wanted to cause problem among haters of good things.
All I can say here is that the Vice Presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, Tim Kaine was the Governor of Virginia in 2006-2010, at that time, Mr. Peter Obi was the Governor of Anambra State. Tim sent a delegation led by John Avoli former Mayor of Staunton to visit Mr. Peter Obi in Awka. The briefed him on many things, including the Igbo Village project at Staunton, Virginia. Obi who normally does not believe in contributing money to those in overseas, who should rather bring money home contributed to the project, because it will project the Igbo race internationally. The place has German, English and other villages.

It might interest you to note that even in Israel; it was Obi that pulled all diplomatic courtesies that made Igbo language to be included in the part of the pilgrimage ground that hosts languages of many countries and nationalities.
What I want everybody to take from this is that we must always remember our people in whatever positions we occupy.
