Peter Obi’s Commissioners, Ifite-Dunu Residents Fight Obiano
Some Commissioners that served under the administration of the former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi has opened up on the reasons behind their negative stance on Governor Willie Obiano’s re-election.
One of the commissioners, who spoke in anonymity and in total confidence with our correspondent, said that he is ready to do all humanly possible to see Governor Obiano packing from Agu Awka.
Visibly angry, he said “that the only piece of land they got when in Government was revoked by Obiano and are being re-allocated to Aguleri people.”
Another commissioner said the reason Obiano gave for the revocation was that they did not develop the land.
Lamenting, he said: “It is only under Obiano that Commissioners can afford to build houses, some 4, all over the State.
“[That is] because as Obiano is squandering, he has allowed his aides to also squander. Under Obi, we did not have such free money and he should know that.”
One of the former Commissioners said that even those that lived abroad for years and could not build huts in their towns have all built mansions.
He used the SSG, Prof Chukwulobe as an example and said he just finished building the biggest house in Oraukwu.
The former commissioners said the most annoying part of the entire thing was that Obi persuaded them to make sacrifices during the election of Obiano and some of them spent the little money they saved, only to be booted out by Obiano even without paying severance allowance.
To ensure that the nail is firmly fixed on Obiano’s political coffin, the former commissioners are set to release the bomb on Obiano.
To that effect, the former Commissioners, Aides and Advisers that worked under Peter Obi will call a world press conference to tell the world how bad Anambra State has fared under Obiano.
They also plan to mention the amount of money Obi left in their Ministries for Obiano, as well as other mismanaged items in Anambra State.
In another development, the youths of Ifite-Dunu, an Anambra community, have threatened Governor Obiano to stay away from their community ahead of the conferment of title on him.
The angry youths made the threat after Obiano spent lots of money to buy title from some communities in Anambra Central and scheduled to hold the conferment in their community.
The conferment of the title has been scheduled to take place on the 16th of June, 2017.
One of our correspondents reported that the youths are angry that instead of facing work, Gov. Willie Obiano is always chasing one title or the other.
“He has finished with all possible awards in Nigeria and is now after local, Chieftaincy awards”, one of the angry youths told our correspondent.
An old Igwe who pleaded not to be mentioned to avoid victimization said that Old Igwes were not part of the fraudulent award.
Rather, the new Igwes he recently gave certificates such as Oraukwu, Ogidi, Awka-Etiti, Alor and Ukwuru are behind the conferment.
The Igwe said that the road from Express to their community (made up of many towns), is ravaged by erosion at one of the communities, Akpu village, Ukpo and will cut the road any moment.
Instead of fixing them, Obiano is busy buying awards and titles, squandering the Paris refund, he lamented.
Taking the threat seriously, Obiano has asked his aides to announce postponement of the event, citing his mother’s burial as the reason.
“Did he not know he will bury his mother before fixing the event”, asked our correspondent, “over which billboards that cost the State over 100 Million have been mounted in almost all the villages in the State?”
