Peter Obi Told Me Three Things For Soludo, Azomchine Reveals Reconciliation Plan

(DDM) – Prominent Obidient movement figure, Ikenna Azomchine, has disclosed that Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, personally gave him three questions to deliver to Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that Azomchine made the revelation during an interview on Trust TV, where he clarified that his decision to support Soludo was openly communicated to Obi and witnessed by other key Obidient figures.

“I don’t have any apology to give to anybody,” Azomchine said firmly. “I went to my boss before now and told him I’m supporting Soludo.”

The activist explained that his conversation with Obi was not done secretly, as several allies were present. “Tanko was there, Sarah Ibrahim was there, Dr. Mo was there. I didn’t do it in absentia.

They all were there when I told Peter Obi what I wanted to do,” he added.

According to Azomchine, Obi reacted calmly and instructed him to relay specific messages to the Anambra governor. “And he told me three things. He said, ‘when you get to him, ask him three questions,’ and I have not asked those questions,” he revealed.

DDM reports that the Obidient leader’s statement comes amid renewed interest in Anambra’s political alliances ahead of the 2025 governorship election and the 2027 general elections.

His remarks shed light on the subtle tensions between Obi and Soludo, two influential Igbo political figures whose relationship has been marked by ideological and strategic differences since 2022.

Despite his endorsement of Soludo, Azomchine clarified that his interactions with the governor have so far been limited. “I’ve not even sat down with the governor; I just met him on the podium. I have not discussed with him,” he stated.

He emphasized that his political position is driven by a broader goal of reconciliation rather than personal gain. “My future plans are to bring peace to these two wonderful Igbo leaders,” he concluded.

Observers who spoke with DDM believe that Azomchine’s revelation may help open new channels of dialogue between both men, potentially easing tensions that have divided parts of the Southeastern political landscape.

The statement has since stirred mixed reactions among Obidient supporters, with some praising Azomchine’s courage for choosing dialogue over division, while others accused him of abandoning the movement’s ideological stance.

Political analysts say his public transparency could influence upcoming negotiations between Labour Party figures and Anambra State’s political establishment as both camps prepare for the next electoral cycle.

As Anambra inches toward its November 2025 governorship election, the evolving relationship between Peter Obi and Governor Soludo continues to shape discussions about leadership, loyalty, and the future of Southeastern politics.
