VeryDarkman and school children stage protest in Abuja

Social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, aka, VeryDarkMan staged a bold protest on Monday, June 17, at the gate of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s office, Mr. Nysom Wike.

He embarked on the protest following the prolonged strike by primary school teachers in the FCT.

Dressed in a full school uniform and joined by a group of school children, VDM transformed the entrance of the minister’s office into a makeshift classroom.

The controversial influencer held a symbolic class session, teaching letters of the alphabet in what many called a straight jab at political leaders.

“S for Suegbe, T for Tinubu, W for Wike,” he recited, as the children repeated after him, a dramatic call out aimed at spotlighting government inaction.

The strike, which started on March 24, 2025, stems from the refusal of Area Council Chairmen to implement the new national minimum wage of ₦70,000 for primary school teachers, leaving thousands of pupils stranded at home across the FCT.

Meanwhile, when approached by newsmen for comments, VeryDarkMan declined to speak, maintaining that the premises of the Minister’s gate would remain the children’s new classroom until authorities addressed the issue.
