President Bola Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu

The bad blood between President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu appears to have ended as Tinubu on Sunday, told the Lagos State Governor he was no longer angry with him and that “all his sins” had been forgiven.

Diaspora Digital Media understand that president Tinubu made the statement after he met with members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), who came to beg on behalf of Sanwo-Olu, and others who might have offended him.

During the meeting, GAC Chairman Tajudeen Olusi formally received the president in Lagos and acknowledged that there appeared to be some face-off between Tinubu and certain individuals in the state, particularly the governor.

Mr. Olusi appealed for clemency on their behalf.

Moreover, while responding to the plea, Tinubu, according to multiple sources present at the meeting, said: “It’s all over now. All is forgiven.”

President Tinubu assured the gathering that he has no grudges against anyone, including Sanwo-Olu.

Following the president’s statement, Sanwo-Olu and other GAC members reportedly prostrated before him in a symbolic gesture of remorse and reconciliation.

A source who attended the meeting stated that the gathering did not go into specific details or explanations from either the president or the governor regarding the cause of the conflict.

Instead, the GAC simply sought full forgiveness, which Tinubu granted.

However, this is coming after president had publicly snubbed Governor Sanwo-Olu during the commissioning of part of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway in Lagos a few days ago.
