An Ekiti State-based mini-truck driver, Adeleye Adeniyi, has said he borrowed ₦3.5m to support the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Ekiti State House of Assembly member Steve Fatoba.

Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, disclosed this in a video interview circulating on Friday.

He displayed a cardboard cheque indicating ₦2m for Tinubu, ₦1m for Bamidele and ₦500,000 for Fatoba.

The driver said his decision was motivated by what he described as the politicians’ performance in office.

“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job,” he said.

Adeniyi also pledged to campaign for the politicians ahead of the forthcoming elections and urged Nigerians to vote for them.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu would deliver greater benefits to Nigerians if re-elected.

The driver also praised Bamidele and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their contributions to healthcare, education, electricity and rural infrastructure.

Adeniyi previously attracted attention in February 2026 after reportedly taking a loan through the digital lending platform OPay to brand a vehicle in support of Oyebanji’s second-term ambition.

He said his support for the governor was driven by his admiration for the administration’s performance, particularly in education, healthcare and citizens’ welfare.

In the latest video, Adeniyi said he had taken another loan to demonstrate his support for Tinubu and the two Ekiti politicians.
