A three-storey building has collapsed in the Alakija area of Lagos State, with several people feared trapped beneath the rubble.
The incident occurred at about 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, according to eyewitnesses at the scene.
Residents and passersby reportedly rushed to the site in an attempt to assist those trapped while awaiting the arrival of emergency responders.
As of the time of filing this report, rescue officials had yet to reach the scene, and the exact number of victims remained unclear.
Authorities are expected to begin search-and-rescue operations as efforts continue to determine the cause of the collapse.
