PHOTOS: Tinubu, Ribadu, others attend special Juma’at prayers to mark Armed Forces Remembrance Day

President Bola Tinubu with other key officials of his government attended a special Juma’at prayer session at the National Mosque Abuja to mark the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Mr. Tinubu was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu.

Moreover, Professor Prof. Lukman Zakariya, the Chief Imam who presided over the prayer session, hailed the country’s fallen heroes for their courage and sacrifices, adding that they gave their lives to protect the nation.

He stated that Armed Forces Remembrance Day serves as a moment to remember not only the veterans of the world wars and the Nigerian civil war but also the courageous individuals who continue to serve the country today.

The Islamic scholar stressed the need for the armed forces to always be sincere in their actions and abide by ethical standards even when faced with challenging circumstances.

Other dignitaries in attendance were the Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr Tajuddeen Abbas, Deputy President of the Senate Alhamdulillah Barau Jibrin and other others.
