Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has officially commissioned the Solution Fun City, a landmark amusement and recreation park in Awka, Anambra State.

The grand opening, held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, attracted over 150,000 visitors, making it one of the largest public events in the state’s history.

Solution Fun City opening was held alongside the Anambra Mega Fest, featuring a packed entertainment lineup that included top performers like Flavour, Umu Obiligbo, JeriQ, Jennifer Eliogu, Ugoccie, MC Apete, Prince Neche, Ogbuefi I Go Tuk, and Onye Obodo.

Traditional rulers, families, entertainers, tourists, and top government officials all gathered to witness the historic unveiling of what is being described as Africa’s largest leisure park.

Soludo: ‘A Place for Fun, Family and the Future’

While declaring the park open, Governor Soludo emphasized its role in boosting tourism, family bonding, and economic activity in the state.

“This park is now open to the public,” Soludo said.

“It’s a place where families, children, and loved ones can come to relax, play, and share joyful memories.”

He praised the talents involved in building the park and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering world-class infrastructure without external borrowing.

What to Expect Inside Solution Fun City Awka

Covering 12.7 hectares, Solution Fun City features a wide range of attractions for children, teenagers, and adults:

Roller coasters

Carousel and swing rides

Mini trains and bumper cars

Water Park:

Splash zones

Water slides

Family wave pool

Games and Arcade Zone:

Indoor arcade

Virtual reality games

Prize machines and simulators

Residents React to New Park in Awka

Residents expressed joy at the long-awaited facility.

“This is something we’ve never had before in Awka,” said Mrs. Ijeoma Okoye, who visited with her three children.

“We now have a safe, clean place to enjoy weekends and holidays as a family.”

Some students from UNIZIK expressed excitement over the newly commissioned park, saying it would provide a safe and enjoyable place to relax and have fun a better alternative to spending nights in clubs or searching for entertainment elsewhere

Vendors also reported increased sales and business activity around the area, calling the park a “game changer” for the local economy.

A New Era for Tourism and Urban Fun in Anambra

With the successful launch of Solution Fun City Awka, Governor Soludo continues to move forward with his “Dubai-Taiwan vision,” bringing smart urban development, youth engagement, and economic transformation to life.

The park is now open to the public, offering a safe, family-friendly space where fun meets culture, and leisure meets opportunity.
