Phyna Otabor has sparked fresh conversation online after opening up about undergoing cosmetic surgery, marking a new phase in her public image.
The reality TV star who also works as an actress, model, filmmaker, and fashion enthusiast shared updates with fans on social media, including clips and reflections following her first post-surgery massage.
Her revelation comes not long after reports of the death of socialite Elena Jessica, who was said to have suffered complications after a second Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). That incident reignited debates around the safety and risks associated with cosmetic procedures in Nigeria.
Despite the concerns, Phyna expressed excitement about her decision, stating clearly that she has no regrets. She described noticeable changes in her body and seemed pleased with the outcome.
“First massage. Now I understand why people don’t stop talking about it… Finally did it. No regrets,” she shared.
In one of her videos, she reacted humorously to her transformation, saying her stomach now looked more defined and “snatched,” adding that others should “go and hide.”
She also admitted that the recovery process has not been easy, noting that it requires strength and patience. Still, she emphasized that she is trusting the process and remains happy with what she sees.
Phyna, who had previously criticized fellow reality star Chichi over cosmetic enhancements, also reflected on her fitness journey. She hinted that gym routines may not always deliver the same results as surgical procedures.
Cosmetic surgery, particularly BBL, has gained popularity in Nigeria in recent years. The procedure typically involves transferring fat from areas like the abdomen or thighs to the buttocks to enhance body shape.
As more public figures share their experiences, the conversation around beauty standards, personal choice, and health risks continues to grow.
