Police arrest 2 suspected kidnappers in Abuja aged 17 & 18

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command in Abuja have arrested two suspected kidnappers in the Kwali area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The command said Musa Mukailu, 18, and Damina Wali, 17, were nabbed on Wednesday.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the acting FCT police spokesman, Daniel Ndirpaya, said:

“The suspects, who confessed to being members of a kidnapping syndicate met their waterloo while trying to kidnap two women along the Kwali axis of the FCT.

“They were arrested by operatives of the command’s anti-kidnapping section while on routine patrol. Effort is in place to arrest other members of the syndicate.”

The command pledged to ensure security of lives and properties of residents.

It urged residents to report all suspicious movements, emergency or distress through its various emergency numbers.
