The police command in Ondo says it has arrested three male secondary school students over the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl.
Speaking on Tuesday, Funmilayo Odunlami, Ondo police spokesperson, said the students are from Akure High School in the state. The victim is said to be a junior student of the same school.
Odunlami said the suspects committed the crime at the bush close to the back of the school gate. One of the suspects was said to have made love advances to the victim, which she rejected.
The case was reported in the police station after the victim came into the classroom with bloodstains on her uniform.
The three suspects are currently in the custody of the police.
