The Kaduna State Police Command successfully apprehended a suspected member of a notorious armed bandit and kidnapping gang.
This gang has terrorized Kajuru Local Government Area and surrounding communities for some time.
Authorities arrested 20-year-old Kadiri Alhaji Danbuwa, a resident of Ruga in Kajuru, on February 17 at around 4:20 p.m. in Maraban Kajuru.
His capture resulted from a credible intelligence report that prompted swift law enforcement action.
Additionally, a police source revealed that the operation was led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kajuru.
He mobilized a team of detectives to track down the suspect effectively during the operation.
During interrogation, Danbuwa confessed that he belonged to the criminal gang involved in several kidnappings and banditry incidents.
Additionally, the Kaduna State Police Command assured the public that they are actively working to locate and apprehend other gang members still at large.
The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
