Police authorities in Ondo State have arrested an Islamic cleric named Oluwafemi Idris with human parts.
Following a tip-off, the police said a raid was executed at Idris’s home in the Akoko area, which led to the gory discoveries.
During the raid, severed human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, a spine, and even a tongue were found.
A source familiar with the ongoing investigation by the authorities revealed, “During the search of his home in Akoko, we found a horrifying cache of human remains. The suspect claimed to be an Islamic cleric and alleged that some of these body parts were supplied by a friend of his, an Alhaji who is also a cleric, along with one Samuel Kutelu. His criminal network extended to a man named Babatunde Kayode, an Oluawo, from whom he reportedly obtained three human heads.”
Meanwhile, the command said efforts are being made to arrest others involved in the illicit trade.
