The Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission have set April 12, 2025, as the resumption date for training.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the recruitment process started in 2022 to strengthen the police force with new personnel to improve security nationwide.

Applicants underwent multiple stages, including application submissions, screening, aptitude tests, and medical evaluations, before reaching the final selection phase.

The Medical Screening Exercise was conducted between February 26 and March 12, 2025, to determine eligible candidates.

Successful candidates can now check their application status by logging onto https://apply.policerecruitment.gov.ng from Monday, March 31, 2025.

They must also print their Training Call-up Slips from the recruitment portal for documentation and verification purposes.

Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations at the Police Service Commission, confirmed the official resumption date and documentation requirements.

Selected candidates are required to report to designated police training institutions as specified on their Training Call-up Slips.

The documentation process will begin on April 12 and conclude on April 19, 2025, at the respective training schools.

Candidates who fail to report within this period will be considered to have declined the training offer.

Successful recruits must arrive at the training centers dressed in a clean white T-shirt and shorts.

They must also bring their Training Call-up Slip, Application Form Submission Slip, and National Identification Number (NIN) Slip.

Additionally, they should present their Bank Verification Number (BVN) Slip, original and photocopies of certificates, and other listed requirements.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hashimu Argungu (Retd.), Chairman of the Police Service Commission, congratulated all successful candidates on their selection.

He emphasized that this recruitment aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s goal of a capable and professional police force.

Argungu urged recruits to take their training seriously and show dedication to national security and public service.

He also wished President Bola Tinubu a happy 73rd birthday and described the recruitment as a symbolic gift.

He assured the public that the recruitment process remained merit-based, equitable, and compliant with the Federal Character policy.

The Nigeria Police Force was established in 1930 as the primary law enforcement agency in Nigeria.

It operates under the supervision of the Police Service Commission and the Ministry of Police Affairs.

The force is responsible for maintaining internal security, preventing crime, and enforcing laws across the country.

It consists of various specialized units, including the Criminal Investigation Department, Mobile Police Force, and Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Over the years, the Nigeria Police Force has undergone reforms to improve efficiency and professionalism.

The current recruitment exercise aims to enhance law enforcement and bolster security operations nationwide.

The Nigeria Police Force and the Police Service Commission remain committed to transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.

The newly recruited constables will play a crucial role in strengthening internal security and law enforcement efforts in Nigeria.
