Political Tsunami Hits Kogi HA, as Speaker, Deputy Impeached

A gargantuan political tsunami has hit Kogi State House of Assembly as the Speaker Hon. Momoh Jimoh Lawal (Okene) and his deputy Hon. Aliyu Akuh (Omala) were today impeached.

Also impeached was the minority leader Hon. Hassan Bello representing Ajaokuta.

They were impeached by 17 members of the 25 lawmakers in the state Assembly.

The Speaker has been replaced by Hon. Godwin Osiyi representing Ogori-magongo who was elected as the new Speaker.

Hon. John Abah representing Ibaji is the deputy speaker, while Hon. James Eneche from Olamaboro is the new minority leader.

Elombah.com gathered that the reason for their impeachment is based on incompetence, betrayal of trust, etc.
