President Buhari writes Senate over medical Trip

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday sent communication to Senate over his Medical Vacation abroad.

Reading the letter on the floor of the Senate dated 6th June, Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu said the President will spent 10 days abroa.

He also said the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo will perform his function.

The President in the letter said:

“In compliance with section 145(1) of the 1999 constitution as amended, I wish to inform the distinguished Senate that I will be away on a short medical vacation from 6th – 16th of June 2016.

“While I am away, the Vice President will perform the functions of my office”.
