COMMUNIQUE

 The ECOWAS Commission   learned with great indignation the news of the terrorist attack March 13, 2016, in Grand-Bassam, causing the death of several people and causing injuries.

 The Commission and all ECOWAS institutions condemn in the strongest terms this terrorist act and assure the people and the Ivorian Government   their full solidarity to the ordeal that is so unfairly imposed.

The ECOWAS Commission tilts with emotion and respect to the memory of victims of the attack. At the location of the bereaved families, it addresses its sincere condolences.

The ECOWAS Commission is closely following the developments in relation to its partners, so as to bring the Ivorian authorities and all the support any cooperation they may need.
