The speaker, Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa described reports in some media organisations as a skimmed plan of his political enemies to cause political cracks in his cemented walls of politics in the state.

According to him the purported report is baseless, false, unfounded and malicious in an effort to dent his image in the eyes of the general public.

Mijinyawa, who through the House public Relations Officer (PRO), Mallam Yahaya Mohammed Daji signed a press release issued to journalist in Yola, said as a Legislator he “has utmost respect for the rule of law and will not carry out such dastardly act against anybody let alone that of a police officer” attached to him.

Kabiru, in a Telephone interview, further explained that the story as reported by other media is smearing and witch-hunting to discourage him from performing his legislative functions to the people of Adamawa State.

“If it is not so, tell me why can’t they report [the story the way] it is?

“Why can’t the media hear my other side of the story?

“Didn’t you feel is just an attempt to destroy my political career? In Sha Allah, my God will not let them be,” he stressed.

“How can a rational human being, somebody of my type to stoop law in a beating a police officer, is embarrassing to my office, my personality, the people I’m representing and my state.

“I have never denied anybody attached to my office his or her their entitlements.

“We are best of friends with any domestic, security and even my supporting staff in the office.

“Why should people cook up story from the moon against me?”

“I’m out to serve my people (Adamawa State) and the ranting noise of my enemies will never succeed,” Kabiru added
