The Anambra State governor, Mr. Willie Obiano has invaded women’s August meeting in the State.
Our sources revealed that the governor is afraid that the August meeting women who came from different parts of the country where they reside may move motion for vote of no confidence on the governor for non-performance.
Evidently, the government of Obiano has nothing to show in any of the 177 communities in the state, not even any ongoing projects.
Enveloped with this fear, Governor Obiano, it was learnt, hurriedly mobilised some of the aides and asked them to storm all the venues of the August meeting.
Their job is to ensure that those women do not officially speak or sensitize their members against the governor.
The office of the women affairs, the office of the first lady, having nothing to show, packaged their propaganda team and went after August meeting women.
Many of the women at their various meetings who spoke to APGA Interactive Forum said they were shocked to see Obiano aides in their meetings begging them to support the governor for second tenure.
One of the women said, “How can we support a governor who has nothing to show in this community”?
If the governor has performed these women would have returned home to see good governance.
These women want to see dividends of democracy and invading August meetings can never add any vote.
