China’s Olympic diver Qin Kai did the unthought-of.
He proposed to team mate He Zi right on the Olympic medal podium after she won a silver medal in Sunday’s 3-meter springboard final.
Qin is a three-time Olympian, having won gold in the 3-meter synchronized diving event in Beijing and London before winning bronze in Rio.
And guess what? She accepted Qin’s proposal.
The two Chinese divers are set to take the plunge in marriage after a cute proposal down in Rio.
Call it a memorable day and you won’t be wrong at all.
