(DDM) – Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared Rivers State as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful and attractive destinations for tourism, business, and leisure activities.
Diaspora Digital Media DDM gathered that the governor made the assertion while addressing stakeholders during a briefing on the state’s development trajectory.
He emphasized that Rivers State has maintained a reputation for hospitality that continues to draw both investors and visitors from various parts of the country.
He explained that despite political tensions in recent months, the state has remained stable and secure for economic activities.
Governor Fubara noted that the government has invested heavily in infrastructure renewal to support tourism and commercial development.
He said that the state is committed to sustaining an environment where both residents and visitors feel safe at all times.
According to him, the stability being enjoyed across major cities in the state is a result of strategic security partnerships established with federal agencies.
He added that his administration has ensured that crime-prevention operations are carried out discreetly and effectively to maintain public confidence.
The governor stressed that Rivers State remains one of the few regions in Nigeria where tourism and hospitality services have experienced rapid expansion in recent years.
He cited the growing number of hotels, recreational centres, and waterfront attractions as evidence of increasing investor confidence.
Fubara stated that business communities operating in the state have acknowledged the peaceful climate and have continued to expand their investments.
He pointed out that Port Harcourt, the state capital, has recorded some of the most vibrant nightlife activities in the country.
He described these developments as indicators that Rivers State remains open for tourism, trade, and long-term investment partnerships.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the positive feedback coming from both local and international stakeholders.
He noted that the state’s cultural festivals and entertainment events have consistently attracted high visitor turnout.
Governor Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s determination to promote Rivers State as a hub for conferences, exhibitions, and corporate retreats.
