RMAFC Rep Imo Akpan appreciates Akpabio’s ‘transformational projects in Ikono

Over the weekend, the Federal Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Barr. Imo Akpan, was on ground to receive Senate President Godswill Akpabio as he commissioned series of completed constituency projects across Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District.
In Ikono, the projects are Police Barracks, Ibiaku Ntok Okpo; Classroom block at Ikono Ibiaku, Odoro Ikpe Road; Community Secondary School, Edem Edet; ICT Centre at St. Mary’s Secondary School, Ikot Nseyen; and an Ultra-Modern Market at Udua Edem, Nkwot.
In an interaction with newsmen on the sidelines of the event, Barr. Akpan described the initiatives as “unprecedented.”
He acknowledged that Ikono has never had it so good and praised Senator Akpabio for his transformative representation.
“Today marks a historic moment for Ikono. The projects commissioned here are not just structures; they are lifelines that will uplift education, security, and commerce in our communities.
“What is happening today in unprecedented. Our Very Distinguished Senator has done us well, and we have become motivated to give him more support going forward.”
He emphasized that the projects reflect Akpabio’s dedication to equitable development across all Local Government Areas under Akwa Ibom North-West (Ikot Ekpene) Senatorial District.
Barr. Akpan assured that Ikono people will make judicious use of the facilities and protect same from vandals.
The commissioning events drew community leaders, political stakeholders and thousands of Ikono people.
