World renowned footballer Ronaldo has taken a fancy at the young and rising Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford reminds him of his heydays.

In the words of Ronaldo: ‘Marcus Rashford reminds me of myself’.

The Brazilian legend commented on the rise of the 18-year-old and claimed the forward reminds him of himself in his playing days.

Marcus Rashford has had the dream debut season since his Manchester United breakthrough last year but things have just got even better for the youngster.

‘He’s a very good young player.

“I see some of myself in him for sure.

“He has courage and he’s fast and is very good with the ball,’ Ronaldo told SunSport.

‘I think for the strikers they have to be hungry to score and I see that with him. He has an amazing future.’

Rashford has seven goals in his first 15 appearances for the Red Devils so it’s not surprising that praise is coming from all quarters.

But even he couldn’t have predicted this.

Some wonder, though, if Rashford is old enough to actually remember the former Real Madrid and Barcelona great.
