Mohamed Salah has cemented his place in Liverpool Football Club’s history by becoming the joint-third highest goalscorer of all time.

The Egyptian forward achieved this milestone during Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Manchester City on Sunday, where he opened the scoring to take his total goal tally for the Reds to 241.

This remarkable feat sees him draw level with Gordon Hodgson, who scored the same number of goals for the club between 1926 and 1935.

Salah reached this landmark in his 387th appearance for Liverpool since joining the club in June 2017 from AS Roma.

His contributions have been pivotal across multiple competitions, with 180 goals in the Premier League, 45 in the UEFA Champions League, six in the Emirates FA Cup, five in the UEFA Europa League, four in the Carabao Cup, and one in the Community Shield.

Only two players in Liverpool’s storied history have scored more goals than Salah: Ian Rush, who leads the all-time list with 346 goals, and Roger Hunt, who sits in second place with 285 goals.
