
Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki has, on Tuesday, announced the reshuffle of committees’ leadership in the Senate.
The changes are as follows:
– Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio — Vice Chairman of Committee on Local Content
– Senator Stella Oduah — Chairman of Committee Cooperation and Integration
– Senator Olamilekan Adeola — Chairman Committee on Local Content
– Sabo Mohammed — Chairman Committee on Trade and Investments
– Andy Uba — Chairman Committee on Interior from redeployed to Committee on Public Accounts
– Matthew Urhoghide, Chairman Committee on Public Accounts, from Culture and Tourism
– Fatimah Raji-Rasaki, Chairman of Culture and Tourism, from Trade and Investments,
– Mustapha Bukar, Chairman of Committee on Capital Market.
Some vice chairmen of committees were also affected:
– Mohammed Sani Mustapha, Vice Chairman Committee on Trade and Investments,
– Ademola Adeleke succeeded Adeola as Vice Chairman of Committee on Communications,
– Babajide Omoworare, Vice Chairman Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] caucus are raising dust over the retention of Andy Uba in the Committee on Public Accounts haven defected to All Progressives Congress [APC].
