The Senate president Bukola Saraki has visited President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock presidential villa in Abuja on Tuesday, November 3 to submit the names of confirmed Ministers.

Saraki arrived for the meeting scheduled for 3pm around 2.55pm and was escorted into one of the halls inside Buhari’s office.

He was accompanied by the president’s two senior special assistants on legislative matters, Ita Enang (Senate) and Suleiman Kawu (House of Representatives).
Earlier today, Elombah.com had reported about moves by the senators of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to scuttle the official transfer of the letter on screening of Ministerial nominees to Presidency. They suffered a setback as opposition Senators kicked against approval of Senate votes and proceedings.

The Senate under Bukola Saraki’s presidency had been expected to send the official communication to President Buhari on today in order to expedite the swearing-in of Ministers designate.
PDP Senators had last week Thursday staged a walk-out over the decision of the Senate to confirm former governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi [above] who was accused of the mismanagement of Rivers state resources.
