Saudi authorities have granted permission for the burial of Nigerian businessman and philanthropist Aminu Dantata in the sacred city of Madina.

Diaspora Digital Media reported that Dantata passed away at 94 in an Abu Dhabi hospital following a short illness.

The Saudi government approved transporting Dantata’s remains from Abu Dhabi to Madina for burial.

Dantata’s family stated he wished to be laid to rest beside his wife, Rabi’a Dantata, who passed away in 2023.

A special Islamic funeral prayer, Salatul Ga’ib, was held in Kano, attended by prominent figures, including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin.
