2. Report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs. Extortion of Pilgrims by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) by Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.

-That the Senate do consider the report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs on the Extortion of Pilgrims by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Senator Gershom Bassey seconded that the Senate do consider the report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs on the Extortion of Pilgrims by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Senators Adamu Aliero, Na’Alllah, Ali Wakili took turns to contribute to the report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs on the Extortion of Pilgrims by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

Senate resolved to:

1. Government should extend concession in the exchange dollar rate.

2. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) must constantly interact with the Committee, Hajj is discussed and concluded before releasing to the public.

3. Operators must be conscious to stop making Hajj arrangements on assumption.

4. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) must explore plans of reducing the stay to minimum of 35 days.

5. Set up an Ad-hoc Committee to work on the duration of stay, transportation, accommodation and feeding.

Senate President Bukola Saraki thanked the Committee and all who contributed. He stated that time has come to end this money making venture, Hajj, pilgrim to Jerusalem, people should not turn it to a business for making money.

3. Report of the Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters. Institute of Chartered Biochemist and Molecular Biologists of Nigeria Bill, 2017 (SB. 283) by Senator Emmanuel Paulker.

-That the Senate do consider the report of the Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters on the Institute of Chartered Biochemist and Molecular Biologists of Nigeria Bill, 2017 (SB. 283).

Senator Baba Kaka seconded that the Senate do consider the report of the Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters on the Institute of Chartered Biochemist and Molecular Biologists of Nigeria Bill, 2017 (SB. 283).

Senate dissolved into the committee of the whole for clause by clause consideration of the report of the Committee on Establishment and Public Service Matters on the Institute of Chartered Biochemist and Molecular Biologists of Nigeria Bill, 2017 (SB. 283).

4. Report of the Committee on Capital Market. Chartered Institute of Capital Market Registrar Bill, 2017 (SB. 25) by Senator Foster Ogola.

-That the Senate do consider the report of the Committee on Capital Market on the Chartered Institute of Capital Market Registrar Bill, 2017 (SB. 25).

Senator Monsurat Sunmonu seconded that the Senate do consider the report of the Committee on Capital Market on the Chartered Institute of Capital Market Registrar Bill, 2017 (SB. 25).
