Sen Akpabio speaks on Security & says some political parties are still insolvent, lack funds to make publications in the National Dailies.
Senator Akpabio says Advertorial should not be mandatory on Political parties so as not to disenfranchise potential voters.
Senator Dino Melaye agrees with the Minority Leader, Senator Akpabio on Security says, “it makes logical sense” but disagrees on Advertorials
“A political party that cannot publish on the National Dailies is not fit to be a political party” – Sen. Senator Dino Melaye
DSP, Ike Ekweremadu commends the Committee on INEC and referenced Section 6, 1A amendment on staggered direct primaries.
SP Bukola Saraki: “We’ve agreed to leave the party to decide if they’re doing direct or indirect primaries, but we need to provide guidance”
Senator Dino Melaye also points that “endorsed list of delegates by INEC must be relied upon for the conduct of all primaries”

Senator Adeyeye speaks on the INEC Bill. He says INEC will not conduct primaries but witness party primaries and endorse.
“Once delegates are elected, they should be eligible to participate in their party’s National Convention” – Senator Kabiru Gaya.
