Senate on Tuesday kicked against the confirmation of 46 non career ambassadors because of 250 Petitions presented to Senate.

‎President Muhammadu Buhari had in October sent the names of 46 nominees to the Senate as ambassadors.

However, ‎Chairman of Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Monsurat Sumonu suggested that Senate should return the list of non-career ambassadors to Presidency for rejigging because non fewer than 250 Petitions were received against the nominees. 

Some of them people that on the list of non-career ambassadors were Usman Bugaje, Yusuf Tugar, Musa Ibeto, Senator Olorunimbe Mamora, Nurudeen Mohammed, Jamila Ahmadu-Suka, Suleiman Hassan, Musa Ibeto and Pauline Talen.‎
