Senator Buruji Kashamu owes banks whopping N13.21b

According to details released by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Senator Buruji Kashamu is the number 19 worst debtor in the country.

Senator Buruji Kashamu is on the news and as usual for the wrong reason.

Information at the disposal of Elombah.com shows that Senator Kashamu owes banks in Nigeria a whopping 13.21 billion Naira.

Some of his properties fingered in the debt profiling include :

1. Hotel De Island, 

2. Kasmal Properties, 

3. Island Auto and,

4. NACOIL.

The first three companies reportedly owe N10.80 billion, a loan which was initially obtained from the defunct Oceanic Bank.

On number 96 of the debtors List, NACOIL INTERNATIONAL LIMITED owes a staggering N2.33bn. 

The loan was taken from Zenith/FinBank.

NACOIL has Alolo Jibrin, Sherifat Kashamu, Sabine Fourne Kashamu as co-directors.

The sum N10.88 billion when added to N2.33bn provides the total sum of N13.21 billion.

kashamu though is not the only Nigerian Senator on the debt profile as other debtors listed on the list includes Senator Ben Murray-Bruce .

Murray-Bruce’s properties – Silverbird Productions were recently seized by AMCON over an N11 billion debt.

Top on the AMCON list is SEAWOLF whose current Outstanding Balance stands at N160.09 Billion.

Others are CAPITAL OIL & GAS INDUSTRIES LIMITED, TANZILA PETROLEUM LTD, RESORT INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, HOME TRUST SAVINGS, et al.

Last on the top 100 list is TUNS FARMS NIG LTD. belonging to the Badmus dynasty.
