Senator Orji Kalu focuses on governance, rejects 2027 political distractions

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering democratic dividends to his constituents in Abia North.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM), source he emphasized that his focus remains on governance rather than discussions about the 2027 elections.

The former Abia State governor has been receiving endorsements for a potential 2027 bid from various supporters following his track records.

Despite the endorsements, he insisted that fulfilling his 2023 mandate is his top priority.

“My focus is not on 2027 politics but on improving the lives of my people,” Senator Orji stated.

He stressed that political discussions should not overshadow the pressing economic challenges facing Nigerians.

“I cannot engage in politics while my people are suffering from hunger,” he added.

Senator Orji served as Abia State governor from 1999 to 2007, implementing major infrastructure and economic reforms.

His administration focused on road networks, education, healthcare, and industrialization to boost the state’s economy.

Elected to the Senate in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, he has continued developmental projects in Abia North.

His efforts include road rehabilitation, rural electrification, and social welfare programs to uplift his constituents.

Senator Orji has been a strong advocate for economic policies that benefit ordinary Nigerians.

Amid speculations about 2027, he reiterated that his main concern is governance, not future elections.

He acknowledged support from Nigerians at home and abroad but insisted that service delivery remains his priority.

“We must remember the 2023 mandate and focus on delivering democratic benefits,” Senator Orji declared.

He pledged to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in addressing national challenges.

Senator Orji has consistently backed policies promoting national unity, economic growth, and security.
